      Charles Kalotai, age 82, of Norwalk, CT, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Friday, January 13, 2012.  He was the loving husband of Maria Fazekas Kalotai.  Charles was born on September 6, 1929 in Und, Hungary, the son of the late Kalman and Juliana Horvath Kalotai and has lived in Connecticut for most of his adult life.  He was retired from Pitney Bowes where he had worked as an engineer.
 
     In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children John Kalotai, and his wife Lenore, of Shelton, CT; Katherine Burns and her husband William, of Bethel, CT; Marieanne Kalotai of Shelton, CT; and Kalman Kalotai of West Hartford, CT; his sister, Anna Gosztom of Hungary; sister-in-law, Elisabeth Kaufmann, of Hawthorne, NY; his niece, Elisabeth McLay of Scotland; and many other nieces and nephews throughout the US and Europe;  6 grandchildren: Margaret Koenig (and husband Justin) of Seymour, CT; Andrew and Emily Kalotai of Shelton, CT; Christopher Burns of Bethel, CT; Kyle and Jake Kalotai of Monroe, CT; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Koenig.  He was pre-deceased by his brothers Kalman and Rudolph, and his sisters Julia and Katherine.
 
     The Kalotai family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT on Tuesday, January 17th, from 3-7pm, with a service to be held at 6pm.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Notre Dame Capital Development Fund, 76 West Rocks Rd., Norwalk, CT 06851.  For directions or to sign an onlline guest book, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com.
