2007
started off with us celebrating the 50th
wedding Anniversary of John’s parents in
January.
John, his two sisters, and brother gave a surprise party for them at the
Shelton Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
January also had us
celebrating our daughter, Maggie’s 22nd birthday.
In
February,
we traveled to Lancaster, PA where our son, Andrew bowled in the Paul Forry
Memorial Bowling Tournament. Many of his friends from Connecticut also
bowled and had a good time.
March
was a quiet month, but we did get lots of planning completed for Maggie and
Justin’s upcoming wedding.

We celebrated two
milestones in
April:
our daughter, Emily’s Sweet 16th birthday,

and John and Lenore’s
25th Wedding
Anniversary. Maggie, Andrew, Emily, and Laraine (Lenore’s sister) gave
John and Lenore an Anniversary party at the Italian Center in Stamford.

Also, Emily qualified
for and bowled in the state Pepsi bowling tournament.
In
May,
Maggie was given two bridal showers and a bachelorette
party.

At the end of the
month, John and Lenore got away for a quick overnight to Mohegan Sun Casino.
On
June 10th,
our daughter, Maggie married Justin Koenig at
Calvary Church in Trumbull, CT. The reception was held at Oronoque Country
Club in Stratford, CT. It was a beautiful wedding, and we all had a great
time!
The newlyweds now
reside in a condo they purchased in Seymour, CT.
Later in the month,
John, Lenore, and Emily explored Lake Winnipesauke and Mount Washington in
New Hampshire for 5 days,

while Andrew had a
great time in Disney World for 2 weeks with his closest friends.

Emily spent most of
July
in driving
school. She and Andrew also each got their own copies of the new Harry
Potter book, “Deathly Hallows” and both read it in ONE day!!!! Andrew also
got a new car – a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, with a standard transmission, so
John had to spend two weeks teaching him to drive it!
August
was our month for what has become our yearly outing to Las Vegas. Andrew
bowled in the National Junior Bowler’s Tour tournament. The rest of the 8
days we spent there had us returning to our favorite casinos and
attractions, and exploring some new places like Springs Preserve (a natural
history museum), and the Las Vegas Zoo.

It was back to school
in September
for the kids – Andrew to Housatonic Community College, and Emily to Central
Magnet High School as a junior. John and Lenore got to attend the Big E
(the largest agricultural fair in New England) in Springfield, MA, and see
Montgomery Gentry in concert.

In
October,
Lenore attended her 30th High School reunion. It was a fun
evening and very nice to see some old friends. Even John knew people there
and had a good time!
Emily got her driver’s
license in
November!
Thanksgiving was a
quiet dinner at home with family this year.

December
has us celebrating our
son, Andrew’s 20th birthday, and another busy Holiday season.
After the eventful year we have had, we will all be looking forward to a
great 2008! Hope yours is great, too!
Merry
Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a Joyful Holiday Season to All!
